Elsie Marie McDaniel of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, September 13, 2000, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on July 1, 1924, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Harve and Bessie (Speer) Collier. She had married Gordon Clouse, Ralph Brown, and Arthur McDaniel, all of whom preceded her in death.

Also surviving are two sons: Mike Clouse of Bedford, and Darrell Clouse of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Mona Goen of New Mexico; one step-daughter, Patty White of Heltonville, IN; one sister, Hazel Lane of Greenwood, IN; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was a cook at Indiana University in Bloomington and a member of Heltonville Methodist Church. She also attended Leesville Methodist Church.

Services for Elsie Marie McDaniel will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2000, in the Elmwood Chapel of The Day & Carter Mortuary with the Reverend Richard Chase officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery.
