Tinkerbell was a Tortoiseshells feline. She was long-furred & double-pawed on her front paws. Her extra toes were like thumbs & she could even use them like humans can. She loved a chain lamp of mine cause she would have fun turning it on & off. Unfortunately she had problems with the claws between her thumbs growing out & hooking around back into her paws. I was convinced by the vet to have her declawed. Then later had to have her thumbs amputated to permanently remove the claws a 2nd time because they grew back & were again creating her problems. Her toes were part of her character. After that I have refused to ever declaw another cat again.

My mom got me Tinkerbell as a surprise from "Fry Fair" in Denton, TX when she was four weeks old. She was hand fed at 2 weeks old due to her mamma getting hit by a car. When she 1st came to her new home my son (cat), BooBoo, would have nothing to do with her. Finally, he got fed up with her being filthy with can food all over her face. He then bathed her & they were inseparable from then on till his sudden death.

Tinkerbell became very attached to my next kitten of the household, Paco. She treated him like he was her son. She was diagnosed with cancer this past summer. I had surgery remove it from her mammory gland, but sadly it came back immediately. The time came that I had to put her to sleep. As I talked to Tink-Tink & loved on her, she looked at her son, Paco, the entire time while being put to sleep. Making that decision was the hardest thing I had ever done, but seeing her suffer was heart breaking for me. She died a couple weeks before her 12th birthday. I miss you "My Little Lady Bug". And Paco misses his 'Mamma'.

TINKERBELL

You showed up as a surprise,
How happy was I.
Cute as can be,
A gift for me.
You grew up beautiful,
From four weeks to twelve years.
Your Love Filled my heart full;
Saying good-bye brought so many tears;
For the love I have inside,
Will only blossom, never die.
In Heaven you'll be,
Waiting for Paco and Me.
BooBoo and Ms. Pandy are there with you now,
Giving you kisses and soft meows.
Letting go was the hardest thing for me to do,
But it was out of love from me to you.
All my crying has made my eyes swell,
For there is only one Tinkerbell.
