My grandfather, before he passed on, confirmed that Agnes Brown Watson was buried in the Franklin Cemetery, and that he had been to her grave many times. However, he was unable to get to the cemetery with another family member to show where the grave is located before he died.

Also, it is possible she may have remarried after coming to Franklin from Scotland, though I have fond no record of a marriage in the Western Marriage Index. And therefore, may be buried under a different name.

Several people have tried to locate her grave, and failed. The sexton has no record of her burial. I was told that the sexton files were in grave disrepair, and work was being done to correct and bring the records up to date.

Also the road past the cemetery has been expanded, but there is no record of the graves next to the road having been moved to accommodate the expansion.

The lack of information on Agnes, is par for the course at the Franklin Cemetery. In addition, I have another great-great grandmother in the same cemetery who was accidentally buried outside of the cemetery during the winter. There is no record that she was ever moved inside, but her headstone is placed where she should have been buried to begin with. We just don't know if she is there or not.

If anyone knows exactly where Agnes is buried, we her family humbly ask if you could please share the information so that we may honor her life and sacrifices for us better.
Thank you.
