Mary was born in Ill, the daughter of Joseph Warren Weston (1796-abt. 1844)and Almira Hancock (1805-1873). Her siblings are Franklin Weston and Hiram Uriah Weston. Mary married James Junion McWilliams May 29, 1859, in Lima, Adams Co. Ill.

Mary Weston McWilliams and James McWilliams were the parents of eleven children: Ida Elizabeth Asbury (1860-aft. 1880); John Franklin (1862-aft. 1900); Elijah Dean; Joseph Sherman; Mary Angeline; Catherine M. McWilliams Hardison (1871-aft. 1900); Clara Belle; James M. (1877-aft. 1880); Julia Frances; Elizabeth Ann; Frank (1892-1902)

James died in 1902 and is buried in the McWillliams (Garden Grove) cemetery in Christian County.
