FUNERAL FOR DICK HEYWOOD

The body of Elliott M. Heywood was brought from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Table Rock for burial. The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon by Rev. W. E. Caldwell. As a boy and young man, Dick was popular with the young people of the community. After leaving here he lived in Lincoln for a number of years, then he went to Denver and later to Corpus Christi where he died. He had learned the carpenter's trade at which he worked.

Burial was in the Table Rock Cemetery.

Elliott M. Heywood was born in Table Rock April 23, 1872, and died January 25, 1933 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 2 days.

He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Heywood who homesteaded a farm in Pawnee County in 1856, where Elliott was born and grew to manhood.

He was married September 25, 1913, to Mrs. Faye Kennedy, of Lincoln, who died July 4, 1922, at Denver.

Dick, as he was known by his many friends, leaves to mourn him a brother, A. L. Heywood of Ainsworth, Nebr.; two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Harrison of Alhambra, Calif., and Mrs. Wilma Aylor of Table Rock; also five nephews and seven nieces, as well as a host of friends.
