Nona Davie Yocom died peacefully in South Salt Lake City on November 16, 2003 at the age of 86.

She was born March 10, 1917 to Elmer O. Davie and Ethel Bates in Erda, Utah. Married Frank M. Yocom in Elko, Nevada January 12, 1935 and was married for 61 years until Frank's death in 1996.

Nona worked in the dry cleaning business alongside her husband for over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and could fix almost anything around the house.

Nona was very supportive of her sons in their various activities and was proud of their accomplishments.

She is survived by her three sons, F. Ray (LouMae), Sandy, Utah; David E. (Linda), Salt Lake City, Utah; Richard M. (Karen), Lehi, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernadine Davie Earl, Perry, Utah; Ramona Davie Ditmer, Sandy, Utah. Preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale. Family graveside service Thursday 2 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City.
