George was my husband's grandfather and we recently discovered the memorial book from George Edward's funeral. It's been very hard to pin down which documents are correct, but I think Feb 20, 1864 is the correct date. The tombstone has 1864 as the birth year. [RJC - The previous birth date was shown as 30-Oct-1866 and this is now updated.]

I find it interesting that he was 84 when his grandson was born. Walter was his only surviving son and we received the documents after he died.

Thank you,
Judy Clapshaw

MESSAGE: "I have been unable to locate Pearl Hubbell Clapshaw on Find A Grave. She was married to George and was born in 1875 and said to have died in 1899 in Hennepin County. She was my husband's grandmother. There is a record of her in the 1895 MN Census, name incorrectly spelled as Perl. Milo Lloyd born in 1893 was their son, also mentioned in the census records. Lloyd hopped a freight train in 1929 and was never seen or heard from again."
