Genevieve Villiard, 81, of Ulen, Minnesota, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in the Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen, MN.
Genevieve was born May 9, 1927 in Clay County, Minnesota to Joseph and Eleanor (Perkins) Blakeway. She grew up near Hawley, MN, where she attended country school. Genevieve married William Villiard on March 24, 1943 in Hawley, Minnesota. Following their marriage they farmed for twenty-seven years north of Hawley, MN. Genevieve enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and caring for her family.
She is survived by two sons, David (Sharon) Villiard, Shawano, WI, Dennis (Gail) Villiard, Shawano, WI; one daughter, Denise (Greg) Jackson, Moorhead, MN; one brother, Elmer (Alfreda) Blakeway, Hawley, MN; two sisters, Hyacinth (Dick) Kronbeck, Moorhead, MN, and Charlotte (Grant) Haug, Moorhead, MN; 21 grandchildren and 24+ great-grandchildren.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Joseph & Eleanor; two brothers, William & Virgil Blakeway; and two sisters, Cynthia Anderson and Elizabeth Blakeway.

Funeral: Friday, May 8, 2009, 10:30 a.m., Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
Interment: Hawley Cemetery.
