Everett Lee Dawes, 66, died early Thursday morning in the Wabash County Hospital.
He was born in Wabash County May 22, 1901 and had resided in the city for 35 years and was a retired employee of Honeywell Company. He was a member of the Friends Church.
His parents were Calvin and Mary (Purdy) Dawes.
Mr. Dawes was married October 10, 1935 to Beulah Lewis, who survives.
Children surviving are Gerald Dawes, Warren R. R. 1, Mrs. Wayne (Betty) Brubaker, Fairmount; Mrs. Dan (Bernadine) Ayres, Stuart, Florida, Mrs. Keith (Donna) Wilder, Marion, Mrs. Rex (Peggy) Sims, Rochester, and Mrs. Rolland (Patricia) McAllister, Wabash.
Other survivors are one brother, Wilbur, Wabash R. R. 4, two sisters, Mrs. Hugh Richardson, Wabash R. R. 1, and Mrs. L. G. Richardson, Six Lakes, Michigan, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hoover-Miner Chapel with the Rev. Paul Todd officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday.
