Musician. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, he started in music at the age of five playing the trumpet. He picked up the guitar at 15, and was soon playing with various rock cover bands throughout the southeast. He eventually switched over to bass and formed his first original band, Cupid's Arrow. He went on to play in the Outlaws before forming another original band, NOON, which released an independent label CD. After the death of Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist Leon Wilkeson, Ean was called on to fill his friend's position. He joined the current line-up of Lynyrd Skynyrd in August 2001 in Las Vegas. He continued recording and touring with them until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, which caused him to cut back on his perfomances. He lost his battle with the disease at 48.
