Funeral services for Kris Cawthon, 18, are scheduled for 3 p.m., on Saturday at Friendly Baptist Church, Tyler. Burial will follow at Jenning's Mountain Cemetery in Brownsboro under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors.Kris passed away May 4, 2009, in Oklahoma. He was born January 15, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Ga. and attended Brownsboro, Henderson schools and Erick High School in Erick, Okla.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mark Gideon.Survivors include his parents, Andrew Cawthon, of Henderson; and Tammy Cawthon, of Henderson; grandparents, Scotty and Camille Cawthon, of Henderson; Judy Herrin, of Chandler; sister, Courtney Johnston, of Henderson; and a nephew, Brycen Johnston, also of Henderson.Pallbearers will be Sterling Tuley, Trent Bell, Ryan Cawthon, Cody Smith, Jerry Lee Wallace, Bradley Parker, Aaron Wilson and Chance Parks. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Gurtner, the Varsity football teams of Henderson and Brownsboro High Schools and the Senior class of Erick High School in Erick, Okla.The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Friday at the funeral home.
