He was a fireman on the Pennsylvania Railroad. He leaned out of the car when he smelled burning waste, and his body caught on some iron fencing, was pulled from the cab and was tossed under the train. They took him to John Wells Memorial Hospital in New Brunswick, which is where he passed away a day later as a result of this tragic accident. Bill was only 24 years old, while his second son was two months old.
