Laura Bernice “Rusty” (Curry) Jackson Knutson

CLARKSTON -- Laura B. Jackson (Rusty), age 82, passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at the Lewiston home of her daughter, Geri Jackson, of cancer.
She was born in Rockford, Wash., to Fern Wing Curry and Wilbur Curry on Feb. 12, 1924. She attended school in Worley, Idaho, and graduated there.
She married LeMoyne (Jack) Jackson March 12, 1944, and lived in Fairfield, Wash., until 1962, when the family moved to Genesee, where they lived until moving to Clarkston in 1976. Jack passed away in 1978.
She married Dale Knutson at Coeur d'Alene March 8, 1991. Dale passed away on June 17, 2006.
She spent most of her life caring for the elderly in nursing homes throughout the area. She loved to fish, play cards, dance and travel. She will lovingly be remembered for her feisty attitude and her love of the Oregon Coast.
She is survived by her three children, Jackie Jackson of Portland, Ore., Geri Jackson and Rick and wife Judy Jackson, all of Lewiston; her four grandchildren, Teri Crawford of Walla Walla, Aaron Brown and wife Tina of Kennewick, Shane Jackson and husband Shawn O'Neal of Moscow, and Brandi Carter and husband Tyson of Nampa; and six great-grandchildren, Jason Crawford, Ashley, Amber and Nikolai Brown, Jack O'Neal and Katelyn Carter. She is also survived by a sister, Ila Albert of Everett, Wash.; a brother, William Curry and wife Angie of Johnson, R.I.; and a brother, Kenneth Curry and wife Carol of Spokane; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and four sisters, Dorothy, Stella, Lois and Zada Mae.
According to Rusty's wishes, there will be no service and cremation has taken place.
