William H. Diefenthaler, 87, of 609 North Street, Kiel, died Tuesday evening, March 27, at the Chilton Village after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 8, 1902, at Kiel, son of the late William and Amelia Petzold Diefenthaler. He attended schools in Kiel. On October 15, 1927, he married Edna Neumann in Kiel. He was a carpenter by trade all his life in the Kiel area, retiring in 1968. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel, and the Kiel Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Edna, Kiel; two brothers, Roland (Louise) Diefenthaler, Manitowoc; Harold Diefenthaler, New Holstein; one sister, Norma (Ralph Jorgensen, Sheboygan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
