Henry Martin Reid was born Saturday, April 8, 1871 to Henry Wyatt Reid and Nancy Caroline Davenport Reid.

He married Dora Lee Tillman, a daughter of Henry Newton Tillman and Mary McPherson Tillman on Friday, December 8, 1893 in Carroll County, Georgia.

H. M. REID IS CALLED HOME

H. M. Reid, aged 70 years, widely known and beloved farmer of Danville, Route 2 section, died at 12:30 this morning at Benevolent Society Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Johnson's Chapel by Rev. Harvey Hawk and interment will be made there, Peck directing. The following will be pallbearers; Verna, Glenn and Alton Reid, Ed, Clifford and Gilbert Aldridge. The following will handle the flowers; Misses Lorine, Mable, Eula and Frownie Aldridge, Misses Marguerite and Mildred Johnson, Miss Nell Reid and Mrs. Leon Bennett.

Mr. Reid, a native of Carroll County, Georgia, had resided most of his life in Lawrence county.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, A. C. of Arigon, Ga., R. L., W. F. and J. T. of Danville, Route 2, three daughters, Mrs. W. R. Wilson of Moulton, Mrs. J. C. Key of Danville, Route 2 and Mrs. G. A. Allison of Decatur; four brothers, Charles of Carrollton, Ga., George and Elige of Bremen, Ga., and Tom of Macon, Ga; three sisters, Mrs. F. W. Evans of Helena, Ga., Mrs. A. N. Johnson of Rockmart, Ga., and Mrs. W. C. Kelley of Birmingham.

The children of Henry and Dora Reid were Tillman James Reid, Amanda Inez Reid Allison, Henry Newton Reid, Mary Ivah Reid Melson, Charles Alonzo Reid, Robert Lee Reid, Vera Mae Reid Key, Oscar Herman Reid and Floyd Woodrow Reid.

Mr. Reid died in Danville, Lawrence County, Alabama, at the age of 70.
