BELL DEEDON
Many years of living dedicated to family, friends and neighbors, came to an end when Bell Deedon passed away on March 5, 1973. Busy hands, the twinkle in her eyes when she smiled, along with a loving, forgiving heart enbdeared "Grandma Deedon" to all who passed her way.
She was born November 29, 1889 in Kansas and had lived in this area for over fifty years. She had been living in the I.O.O.F. home in Portland since September 1971, where she spread happiness by doing for others. She came back for a visit occasionally and especially at Thanksgiving time for the family reunion dinner.
Her husband, Frank, preceeded(sic) her in death ten years ago. She is survived by seven children: Marion, Donald, John and Robert Strunk, Ruth Dyer, Edith Conant, Lena Warden -- also six step-children: Leora Lake, Guy Amile, Virgil, Jerry and Wuilliam Deedon. There are 31 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Strunk and niees and nephews suriving her.
Graveside services were held at Walton Cemetery March 9 with Willett Jessee as minister and Poole-Larsen in charge of the services.
The family requests that contributions should be made to the American Heart Association care of the chapel.
