John Thomas The funeral service for John Thomas, 58, of Aurora, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday from Daleiden Mortuary to St. Joseph Church at noon. The Rev. Lawrence London will officiate. Burial will be in River Hills Cemetery, Batavia. Visitation will be at the mortuary from 2:30 to 9 p.m. today.
John Thomas, 58, of Aurora, died Sunday at Copley Memorial Hospital. he was born April 21, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio.
He is survived by his widow, Joan; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara (Joey) Seidelman of Aurora; two sons, John Charles of Lisle and Gary Lee of Aurora; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Irene Robinson of Pueblo, Colo.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary Thomas.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 736, the Lucky 50 Club and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Funeral arrangements will be made by Daleiden Mortuary, where visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
