The 3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery was a heavy artillery regiment that fought in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Engagements included the Siege of Suffolk (April 11 to May 4, 1863), the Battle of Gettysburg (July 1–3, 1863), and the Siege of Petersburg (June 9, 1864, to March 25, 1865).

Henry Cramer and his wife Amanda Holleman were blessed with two children, Abbie Bertha Cramer and John Jefferson Cramer. (Son, John Jefferson Cramer, a World War I veteran, is also laid to rest at Los Angeles National Cemetery.) After wife Amanda's death in 1895, Henry married Mary Susan Morgan Hill Blair Cramer.
