On Monday, October 29, 1888, after a lingering illness, Mary, in her 30th year of age, beloved wife of Michael J. McCourt and oldest daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Appleton, who were born in Ireland. Her funeral from her late residence, 1034 Hillman Street, on Friday morning, November 2nd, thence to St. John's Church where a requiem mass will be said for the repose of her soul. Interment in Bonnie Brae.
