Smith, Mary L. (Ferguson)- Of Mount Morris, age 87, died Saturday, January 13, 2001 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 17,2001 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Raymond Cocke officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Cemetery. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Flint, Michigan on February 25, 1913, the daughter of William and Mayme Ferguson. She was a member of UAW Local #599. Mrs. Smith was employed by Buick Motor Division for 37 years, retiring in January 1972. Surviving are her 4 sisters, Ruth Williams of Flint, Mildred Frager of Mt. Morris, Betty and husband James Stewart of Florida, Grace Lawson of Flint; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
