JULIUS R. GARTZKE

Julius R. Gartzke, 85, of New Holstein, died Friday afternoon at home after an illness of three months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, New Holstein, the Rev. E.J. Zanow officiating. Burial will be in Kiel City Cemetery.
Mrs. Gartzke was born Sept. 25, 1875, at Milwaukee, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gartzke. He was educated at Milwaukee elementary schools and worked as a coremaker at Lauson Company of New Holstein for 32 years.
He married Emma Kono Dec. 8, 1898, at Hika, (Cleveland), Manitowoc County, and they lived at New Holstein. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Lauson Company and also a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Elmer and Walter of New Holstein, Albert of Kiel and Harry of Sheboygan Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Oliver Schwartz of Howards Grove; a brother, Albert of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren and five great grand-children.
