Marine City - Marguerite E. Achatz, 91, of 373 Woodworth, died Thursday, June 17, 1962, in River District Hospital, East China Township, after a long illness.
She was born Sept. 24, 1890, in Marine City, where she was a lifelong resident. She married Francis Achatz June 12, 1912, in Marine City. Mr. Achatz died Sept. 27, 1970.
Mrs. Achatz was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Anthony, Marine City, and Vincent, Adair; four daughters, Mrs. Milo (Marguerite) Wilson, Mrs. Ann Danneels and Mrs. George (LaBelle) Kreilter, all of Marine City, and Mrs. Delores Zech, Port Huron; 57 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; and nine great great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Merlin L. Trumble Colonial Chapel Funeral Home-Marine City Chapel and 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Bartone, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair.
Visiting begins at noon today. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.
