Born in Elton, Louisiana to Avanant and Anna Fusilier, she had been a resident of Groves since 1952 and was a retired LVN with thirty one years of service with Doctor's Hospital in Groves. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Port Arthur.
Virna was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Varnado, daughter Anna Mae Kibodeaux, and grandson William Loesch.
Survivors include her daughters; Virna Faye Ortiz Andrews and husband Andy and Linda Kay Prince and husband Murray; grandchildren Gerald Pete Livingston II, Rosa Barber, Robert Lockrem, Alicia Turri, and Sergio C. Ortiz; great grandchildren Jessica Emrick, Alex Lockrem, Vincent Livingston, Chelsa Livingston, Breanna Turri, Lon Ortiz, Hayley Lockrem, Cynthia McLaughlin,and Maci Lynn Loesch; one great great grandson Hunter Emrick.
