Nancy was the sixth and last child born to Patrick Henry BUNKER and Mary Jane "Mollie" BRADLEY. Patrick was a son of Eng BUNKER, one of the original Siamese Twins. He, along with two of his brothers, James Montgomery and Frederick Marshall had homesteaded in early Sumner County, KS. Patrick and Mollie divorced and she later remarried.

On 26 January 1908 in Argonia, KS, Nancy was married to Jesse "Jess" DAVIS by H. A. Doughty, Minister of the Gospel. According to census records, Jesse was a barber. In an old ledger kept by the Sumner County Health Department is listed a birth record for DAVIS, female, first child of Jesse DAVIS and Nancy BUNKER at Milan on 21 March 1909. This child, according to later census records turned out to be named Wava. In about 1912, another child named Ruth was born to them. It's unknown at this time by this compiler if there were other children.
