Fred Oxley, 78, Montpelier, was found dead at his residence at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday by his brother, Paul Oxley.
A retired farmer, Mr. Oxley was a member of the IOOF Lodge, Mt. Zion and of the McNatt Methodist Church. He was a school bus driver for 35 years in Jackson Township, Wells County.
Mr. Oxley was born July 24, 1899 in Grant County to Charles and Lorinda Bole Oxley.
Survivors include the brother, Paul Oxley, Warren and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Custard, Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Ida Herring, Liberty Center.
Friends may call at the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren, after 7 p.m. Thursday where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Basil Funk, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
