Melvin I. “Bert” Hitchcock, 70, died early Thursday morning at Mt. Carmel Hospital from injuries sustained in a house moving accident in Liberal Tuesday. Last rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Christian Church in Liberal. Rev. Earl Bingham will be in charge. Interment will be in the Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry. The body will be taken to the church from the Berkey Chapel in Mulberry at 1 p.m. Saturday.
