Charlotte A. Dodge, age 75, of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Sunday night Nov. 4, 2001 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2001 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Larry Seidi, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

Charlotte was born Oct. 4, 1926 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Edward and Selinde Brocher Colanchick. She attended school in Two Rivers, and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1944. On Sept. 20, 1947, she married Kenneth E. Dodge at St. Luke Catholic Church.

Charlotte was a longtime member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where she was active with the Ladies of St. Luke/St. Mark; a member of the Two Rivers Ladies Elks where she served as call chairperson; member and volunteer of the Two Rivers Historical Society, and was a former Brownie leader. She and Ken were "adopted grandparents" for the first through third-grade students at T.R.C.C.S. for the past three years. Charlotte enjoyed knitting and gardening, and her grandchildren were always precious to her. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family, but will live on in our hearts forever.

(Survivors omitted for privacy)

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law. Orrin and Dorothy Dodge, and by infant twin brothers.

Relatives and friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the church until the time of mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, led by Sr. Dorothy.

Don't think of her as gone away,
her journey's just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
this earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears.
In a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.

And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched,
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
