Evie Rose and her twin, Willie Ralph, were born to Charles William Robins Russell and wife, Evie Rose Williams (Roberts) Russell on 11 April 1893 in Norfolk, VA. When the mother Evie Rose passed away in Jan 1894, Mr. Russell allowed the children to be adopted by William J. Harris and wife Sara (Eastwood) Harris. (They owned a florist shop.)
Later Evie and Willie met their birth father Charles. Willie then changed his name to Charles W. Russell, Jr.
