Lucille Sutton Lambert, 68, of Harmony Hill, Dillsboro, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Mission Hospitals, Memorial Campus, Asheville.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Jarrett Memorial Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with the Revs. Jack Hinson and Shane Danner officiating.

Burial was in Locust Field Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Sutton, Eddie Pullium, Stanley Sutton, Michael Buchanan, Darrell Bryson and Scott Sutton.

A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was an accountant and bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lila Turpin Sutton.

Surviving are one son, Curtis Lambert of Dillsboro; two sisters, Alma Pullium and Audrey Buchanan, both of Dillsboro; four brothers, Hayes Sutton of Sylva, Mack Sutton of Bryson City, and Perry Sutton and Huey Sutton, both of Dillsboro; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Jarrett Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 40, Dillsboro, NC 28725 or to one's favorite charity.
