Earl James Logan was born on October 14, 1905, in Kiowa County, Kansas, the 11th and youngest child, of James Alvin Logan and Mary Elizabeth Garoutte.
He married, on June 22, 1940, in Reno County, Kansas, to Wilma Emeline Odle, born April 18, 1906, in St. John, Stafford Co., Kansas, the daughter of Elmos Odle and Edna Ellen Claflin. They had no children.
Earl was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army, Co. K, 409th Infantry, 103rd Division, from 1942-1945, achieving the rank of T-4. He served in France and Germany.
He began his printing career as a lino type operator for a printing business. He was a type setter, for The Hutchinson News, in Hutchinson, Kansas, in later years.
Earl passed away in January of 1982, in Hutchinson, Kansas, at the age of 80 years, and is buried next to his wife Wilma, in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas.
