FAIRHOPE — Ethel Bishop, a native of Richton, Miss., and a resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at a local health-care facility. She was 86. Mrs. Bishop was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley O. Brown and Barbara Ann Long, both of Fairhope; three sons, James B. Bishop of Mobile, George A. Bishop of Fairhope and Ellis A. Bishop of Loxley; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Fairhope. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will take place in Brook-Cedron Cemetery. Visitation will also be held from 6 until 9 tonight at Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
