Morris "Mac" McDonald Sr., 55, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday at his residence, 2510 Fairmont Ave. He was a native of New Albany, and an assembler at Vulcan Hart in Louisville, and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II.
He is survived by his wife, the former Laverne B. Simon McDonald, six sons, Morris Jr, Ronald, Douglas Lee, Roger Dale, Karl, and Kirk all of New Albany, seven grandchildren, two brothers, Warren of Corpus Cristi, Texas, and Gene of New Albany, five sisters, Mrs. Florence Barth, Mrs. Lois Harris, Mrs. Geraldine Huber, Mrs. Nadine Lori, and Mrs. Viola Lockhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dieckmann Funeral Home, with entombment in Graceland Memorial Park Masoleum.
