J.W. Broadwell Laid To Rest
Masonic services were read yesterday by J.A. Pardee, who as assisted by Reverend P.C. Knudson, at the funeral of J.W. Broadwell in the Methodist Church.
Mrs. C.W. Morrill sang and Mrs. Ben Cunningham was at the console of the organ.
Pallbearers were: Elmer Winchell, Charles DeForest, Leslie McColm, Orlo Bailey and Will Bailey, (unreadable) Ramsey.

Funeral services for Jacob William Broadwell, ninety-two, were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon with members of the Janesville Masonic lodge officiating.
He was a native of Springfield, Ill., and was one of three persons living who came to Lassen county with the McMurphy covered wagon train in 1864.
He has lived in Honey Lake Valley since that time, and was one of the valley's prominent ranchers until he retired over twenty years ago, when he moved to Pacific Grove, Calif.
He has made his home here with his daughter, Mrs. Leda Harwood during the past two years.
Burial was in the family plot in the Janesville Cemetery.
