Her obituary reads:
The deceased, Matilda Bonney was the daughter of Lyman Bonney and was born in Canandiagus village, Ontario county, New York State, March 22, 1937. In 1849 she came with her parents to Rochester, Ohio, where she was married to Lewis R. Livermore Sept. 30, 1855. They then went to Chenango County, N.Y., where they lived until 1858, when they moved back to Lorain county, Ohio, where they lived until her husband was called to serve his country in the war of the Rebellion. Then she with her children wentn to live with her parents until his return. They lived in Lorain county until 1870 when they moved to Clarksfield township where she lived until she died March 8, 1902, at the home of herson Frank. Mrs. Livermore was in good health up to with a few days of her time of her sudden death from pneumonia. She died peacefully with her husband's name upon her lips. She was the mother of seven children of whom only three sons survive her--Frank, Charles and Guy. Besides these she leaves a husband, two brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss, and they have the sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement. Mrs. Livermore was all her life a devoted wife and mother and her happiness was her home. Her aim in life was to minister to the needs of her family and they truly appreciated her loving kindness. With her has gone the light from their home.
