The daughter of JOHN & JOANE (TATTERSOL) GREENE, she was baptized at St. Thomas Church, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. Mary was beginning of the line of the "bone-setting" Sweets, using techniques that she learned from her father who was a surgeon, a line which continued for several generations.
