The funeral service for former factory worker Marcelle P. Atchison of Paris will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member.

Robert Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers are Michael Atchison, Brad Shelton, John Dale French, Steve Clendenin, Larry Wilson and Bob Wagoner.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Atchison, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Plumley Rehabilitation Center.

Born Nov. 1, 1922, in Big Sandy, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Eddie McKenzie Pierce.

She was married on April 18, 1943, to James D. Atchison, who died Feb. 13, 1993.

She was formerly employed at Holley carburetor plant and the Clippard Plant. A family member said she enjoyed painting and sewing and was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves one daughter: Ann (John) Shelton of Paris; one son: Mike Atchison of Paris; one sister-in-law: Elizabeth Robertson of Paris; two grandchildren: John Bradley Shelton and John Michael Atchison; three great-grandchildren: Janna Stubblefield, Kylie Lynn Atchison and Robert Settlemier; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Lavelle Stockdale and Clarinelle Peters; and a brother: Milton Pierce.
