BUCKNER, Capt. J.C.

Born July 25, 1844 in Pike co., son of Congressman A.H. Buckner.

Was Capt. in Troop B, Woods Battalion of MO Cavalry.
Was captured and escaped.
Joined Trans-Mississippi Dept.
Remained with that company until the surrender at Shreveport.

Married Nannie Hyde Feb. 27, 1868.
Came to Mexico in 1872.
He died May 20, 1904.
Survived by wife and one child, Mrs. James G. Trimble.
