Lilian Jones, was born on 17th October 1919, in Fulham, London.
She met & married her husband Eugene Charles James (1915-1993) during WW2.
They married at Holy Trinity Church, Southall, London.
She died on 5th June 2009, in the Conquest Hospital, St Leonards on sea, East Sussex.

She was the loving Mother of my dear friend & Godmother of my oldest child, Marion, and her elder brother David.

Mother in law to Neil.

She will be greatly missed by Marion & Neil, with whom she had lived for many years.

Lilian was a very kind lady, of whom I have fond memories. In 1984, when our church was involved with an episode of "Songs of Praise", recorded along the Bexhill on sea, sea front, Lilian & Marion came along as our guests. We had an interesting time, one we will never forget.

R.I.P. dear lady.

How God created mother

God took the fragrance of a flower,
The majesty of a tree,
The gentleness of morning dew,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The beauty of a twilight hour,
The soul of a starry night
The laughter of the rippling brook,
The grace of a bird in flight,
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when His masterpiece was through,
He called it simply...MOTHER.
