Anne married Sgt. Harry B. Duncan on May 22, 1944, in Brynmar South Wales, Great Britain, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1963. Her voyage to the United States was upon the Queen Mary, on March 18, 1946.
She later married Charles G. Ragsdale of Bedford on Aug. 8, 1970, and he survives, along with her two daughters and two sons: Susan (John) Dowling of Bedford, Lori (Tony) Ellett of Bloomington, Harry (Detra) Duncan of Bedford and Stephen (Brenda) Duncan, also of Bedford. Other survivors include Anne's two brothers and one sister: Nick Collett and Wilf Collett, and Ada Howells, all of Great Britain. She has 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by one sister, Myra Stratton, Great Britain and one stepson, Michael E. Ragsdale, Bedford.
She was a member of the First Christian Church for 44 years. A former member of the Red Rose Circle and the Overseas Wives Club. Anne Ragsdale will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by many. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with the Rev. Robert Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford.
