GALIVANTS FERRY - Lucy Smith Prevatte, 90, of Frye Road, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Kingston Nursing Center after an illness.
She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Joe E. Smith Sr. and Tronnie Barnhill Smith.
She was the widow of Robert Dewey Prevatte.
Mrs. Prevatte was a member of First Baptist Church in Aynor and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph Prevatte of Pine Level, Ala., David Prevatte of Charlotte, N.C., Eddie Prevatte of Aynor and Paul Prevatte of North Myrtle Beach; four daughters, Marion Aiken of Greenville, Robbie Prevatte of Nashville, Tenn., Marie Rowell of Nichols and Wilma Prevatte of Austin, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Aynor. Burial will be in Aynor Cemetery.
