Funeral services held Monday, June 15,2009, at First Baptist Church in Odessa, TX, with Byron McWilliams officiating. Interment followed at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.

Kacey is preceeded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie and a son, Daniel Amaya. Daniel was the first marine from Odessa, TX killed in Iraq.

She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 430, Odessa, Texas. She served as "Gold Star Mother" chairman for three years.

Survivors include her husband, David Carpenter, sons, Joseph Amaya and Aaron Amaya; daughter, Victoria Carpenter; mother, Carol Slyman; father, Robert Anderson; stepmother, Dorthie Anderson; brothers, Steve Anderson and Michael Anderson; sisters, Lynn Snyder and Laura Anderson.

Kacey was a loving person with a giving heart and she will be missed by all that knew her.
