Olive Barnes was the daughter of Bartholomew Barnes 1798-1890 and Polly Sarah Pierce 1807-1889. Bartholomew and Polly both came from Connecticut, or possibly Massachusetts for Polly. Their exact whereabouts are not known until 1830 in Alden, Erie, New York. The 1855 and 1875 census indicate Olive's birth place as Genesee County, so they may have been there at that time. Olive was their oldest child.
Olive first married Frank Blaisdell about 1841 and had one child, William Frank 1842.
She married second Daniel Blodgett by 1850, and had four children: Hersa F Adelia "Delia" (Edgar) Rudd 1849, Daniel 1850, Phebe Jane 1852, and Heman W 1854 (Illinois, Wisconsin).
Olive married third Jerome Blodgett (the brother of Daniel) and had two children, Jet (Jedediah Jedathon Jerome) 1859, who married Eva Sweet and is buried in this cemetery, and Hulda Houghton 1862. This may not have been a formal marriage but just an arrangement to help her take care of her children when Daniel died. Daniel may have been the actual father of Jet and Huldah. In his obituary Jet named Hudson as his father, but this may be because he was the father he knew, or he may have considered him a father by adoption.
Olive married fourth Asahel White about 1870.
Olive was buried as Olive Blodgett.
