Helen Married Vaughn (Von) Hadley, son of Earl and Anne (Perfect) Hadley. Some of the Old Timers may remember Von being a valuable player on the Bloomfield baseball team for about 10 years. While Von was playing the team he manage it for five years after retiring from active ball playing, Von was employed by Gus Suckstorf for a number of years. When Gus retired, Von and Lyle Hupp purchased the Pool Hall and it renamed the H and H Café. Lyle had formerly worked for his father who owned the Hupp Pool Hall, which later became Newton Brothers Café. Upon Von's retirement in 1958 new ownership was taken over by Gerald (Shorty) Schmoldt and Norman Bruegman.
