Elizabeth was the daughter of Andrew J. Watkins and Matilda Lunsford,
who were married 08 Jan 1823 in Wilkes County, NC. Her family had relocated
from Wilkes County by the time of the 1850 Deep Creek, Macon County Census; later
living in Deep Creek, Jackson County (Jackson County was form in Jan 1851).
Elizabeth & William are last found together in the 1860 Deep Creek, Jackson County
Census (Swain County would be formed Feb 1871) along with their 5-children; Matilda,
Elizabeth Rebecca, Susie Jane, Andrew Jackson "Andy" and Frances "Fannie" Kirkland.
She would die at home in the Deep Creek Community of what was then Jackson County.
It is not known with certainty where her exact place of burial is located; as her husband
would remarry to Sarah Adaline Nations and relocate to Monroe County, TN and later to
Forney Creek (North Shore) where he died.
