He was born to David and Mattie O."Martha" (Alexander) Dowling.
On Dec. 17, 1930 he married Beatrice "Bee" Robinson in Dodge City. She preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 1999.
He is survived by 1 granddaughter, Kimberly Ruble and husband Jimmy Of Onalaska, TX.; several nieced and nephews and 2 great-grandchildren.
