Isabelle Slade, wife of Hamilton Slade, was born May 28, 1859, at Pleasant Hill, Miami County, and died near Jaysville, August 15, 1904, aged forty-seven years, two months and eighteen days. She was united in marriage to J.H.Slade December 25, 1879, and to them were born four children, two sons and two daughters. One son and one daughter preceded her to the world beyond. She was a good companion, a good mother and a good neighbor. She was patient during her affliction and could look up and see the bright light in the clouds. Her house was set in order and she was ready for her departure. She was converted in the year 1885 and joined the M.E. Church at Jaysville and remainded a faithful member until death .The funeral services were conducted by F.G. Grigsby assisted by Rev. Markworth.
