Amos H. DeRouchie, 74, of East Lake Road, Skaneateles, a widely known businessman, died Sunday at his winter home at Delray Beach, Fla., following an attack of illness.
Mr. DeRouchie operated the Firestone Service Store on Erie Blvd. East in Syracuse, NY for many years until his retirement in 1945 when he formed the Skaneateles Supply Co. of which he served as President.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of Waterloo, the Interstate Financial Corp. of Syracuse and the Eraser Co. of Syracuse.
Mr DeRouchie was a charter member of the New York State Police stationed at Troop D, Oneida. He was a former member of the Rotary Club, the Leiderkranz Club and the Skaneateles Golf + Country Club. He was also the past President of the Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce.
SURVIVORS: His wife, Mrs. Hazel W. (Wight) DeRouchie; a daughter, Mrs. Stephen Mucher, Jr. of Hudson, Ohio; four grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest + Floyd DeRouchie of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Leslie Duprey, Mrs. Herbert Richardson and Mrs. Sydney Riddell, all of Rochester, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Will be at 2:00 P.M. tomorrow at the Dell Funeral Home, East Genesee Street, Skaneateles.
CALLING HOURS: There will be NO calling hours.
BURIAL: Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles.
