LAWRENCE W. BEIHOLD, 83, of Hoagland died Sunday in Parkview Memorial Hospital. The Adams County native retired in 1979 from Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Corp. after 33 years, was a veteran of World War II and a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Hoagland.
Surviving are his wife, Orene; a daughter, Arlene Lasley of Roanoke; a son, Gary of Fort Wayne; sisters, Olive Cook of Holland, Mich., Elizabeth Cook of Michigan, Avonelle Strouse and Vera Goldner, both of Decatur, Velvalene Brooks of Pittsburgh and Imogene Beihold of Indianapolis; a brother, Thomas E. of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, where calling is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be with military honors in Decatur Cemetery. Memorials are to the church, Hoagland Emergency Medical Service or a charity.
