ELK - Andrew (Andy) Henry Berger of Elk, a farmer, died Friday at a Waco nursing home. He was 71.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk, Father Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours.

Mr. Berger was born April 25, 1922, in Tours. He served in the Eighth Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Mart V.F.W. Post No. 10426, where he was the current commander, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 121 in Waco. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and belonged to the Catholic Life Insurance Union.

Survivors include two brothers, Charlie Berger of Waco and Robert S. Berger of Auburn, Ala.; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Eleanor) Barton of Corsicana and Mrs. Spencer (Otillie) Milliken of Nacogdoches.

Littlepage Funeral Home in Mart is in charge of arrangements.
