Frank X. Berger, Former Tours Resident, Dies

Frank X. Berger, 80, of Axtell died at 2:30 a.m. Monday in his home.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk. Father Marion Atomancyk officiated with burial in St. Martin's Cemetery at Tours.

Mr. Berger was born in Tours. He was a farmer and had lived in the Axtell community for many years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Martin's Society and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors are his wife, Rosa Berger of Axtell; three daughters, Mrs. O. T. Berry of Waco, Mrs. Charles Barton of Dallas and Mrs. S. R. Milliken of Batavia, Ill.; six sons, Frank Berger and Charley Berger, both of Waco, Andrew Berger and Raymond Berger, both of Elk, Robert Berger of Auburn, Ala., and Fred Berger of Fort Hood; one brother, Anton Berger of Tours; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
